The reform is coming. Aidifis keeps you compliant, effortlessly.
Mandatory receipt from September 2026, issuance in 2027 for small businesses. Aidifis generates, sends, receives and archives your invoices in the right format — nothing technical to handle.
Two dates to remember
1 September 2026
Receiving becomes mandatory
Every business, whatever its size, must be able to receive invoices in electronic format.
1 September 2027
Issuing becomes mandatory (small businesses)
Small businesses issue all their business-to-business invoices in electronic format.
Êtes-vous concerné ?
Two questions to find out your e-invoicing deadlines.
1. Êtes-vous assujetti à la TVA et établi en France ?
2. Quelle est la taille de votre entreprise ?
TPE / PME : moins de 250 salariés. Dans le doute, choisissez Micro / TPE.
What the reform changes
- No more PDFs by email between businesses: B2B invoices go through an approved Partner Dematerialisation Platform (PDP).
- Structured formats become the rule: Factur-X, UBL, CII.
- E-reporting: some transaction data is sent to the French tax authority.

Frequently asked questions
When does electronic invoicing become mandatory?
Every VAT-registered business established in France must be able to RECEIVE electronic invoices from 1 September 2026. ISSUING becomes mandatory on 1 September 2026 for large and mid-cap companies, and on 1 September 2027 for small businesses — the vast majority of construction tradespeople.
Can I keep emailing my invoices as PDFs?
Not between businesses. A PDF sent by email is not an electronic invoice under the reform: it must be a structured format (Factur-X, UBL or CII) sent through an approved platform. With a private customer, a PDF is still fine.
What is a PDP?
A Partner Dematerialisation Platform: an operator registered with the French tax authority, the only kind allowed to transmit your electronic invoices. You do not have to pick one yourself — Aidifis connects to one for you.
Is Aidifis ready for the reform?
Yes. Aidifis generates, sends and receives your invoices in Factur-X or UBL through a partner platform, and archives them for 10 years as article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code requires. Nothing technical for you to handle.
Is there anything I need to do now?
One thing: check that your company details are complete in Aidifis (registration number, VAT number, address). Everything else — format, transmission, archiving — switches over automatically as each deadline approaches.
What happens if I am not ready in time?
Your business customers will no longer be able to send you their invoices, and your own invoices may be rejected. A non-compliant invoice does not entitle your customer to reclaim the VAT: the commercial risk bites before the tax one.
